Software - How many programs do you have installed?
One thing you can do to help speed up a system is uninstall any software you do not use. Then give the system a defrag (explained in the defragmentation section). This should help free up disk space, and also help remove those annoying programs that boot up when you start the computer.

Sometimes removing unwanted software doesnt cure your issues with programs loading on startup. There is a way to manually disable these annoying programs. This can be done using msconfig
Click start / run, in the box that comes up type msconfig
This box should come up, then click on the last tab circled in the pic. Then you can manually untick the software you dont want to load.

Hello, I want to download Microsoft office 2009 for my business machine, can you recommend any torrent sites?
I don't condone using copywrited software on computers, especially on 'business computers' you should look at getting a legal copy, the software would also be tax deductable.
